There are many ways to farm gold in World of Warcraft, but many people still find it hard to earn enough and are more inclined to buy gold in the real world. As more and more people have moved to Northend, the supply of Northend mats is getting higher. However, you can get mats in Outland and even in Pre B.C. to avoid those competition.
2. To make your effort more efficient, identify those items with low competition in the Auction House first, and only target those objects.
3. Do you know which items are easy to get and easy to sell? Just to give you an idea - the deviate fish in the Barrens can sell for about 15 gold per stack, and they are not that hard to fish. You should have no problem netting 2 stacks of them in just 30 minutes.
4. If you keep frequenting the Auction House, you will have a very good feel of the prices of different items. Don't get panic when the price of a particular items drops, as fluctuation happens just like the real world. Just hold the item for a few more days, and you may find its price picks up again.
5. You may also visit sites like Thott or Wowhead to get an idea of how much an item usually sells in the Auction House. Doing this you can avoid underpricing your items. You may even be able to purchase an under-priced item and sell at a higher rate.
