Turn Your Jeep Wrangler into a Sound Machine

By Peter Thompson

There is no doubt that the Jeep Wrangler is built for tough roads and rugged trails. However, that does not mean you cant enjoy some quality tunes while trudging through some boulders and muddy pits. Outdoor adventures are always great when some good music is blaring from the background.

If you have decided to integrate a speaker system into your Wrangler, initiating it would be the next difficult thing. Speaker boxes come in a variety of shapes and types and they eat up a lot of space. For most Jeep Wrangler owners, space is something they have to deal with ever since they bought their off-road monsters.

Understand that you are driving a Wrangler. Most of the time, driving conditions include outside noises that come from wind and other vehicles you pass by. You need a speaker system that will cancel out these noises so you can hear what is playing in your stereo.

The first step in this particular project is getting your Jeep Wrangler a subwoofer. Subwoofers really get the music out so you can hear them well. Even if there is wind coming at you when driving high speeds, properly installed and well-placed subwoofers allow you to register the music and sway to it.

Once you got your hands on the perfect subwoofers, next thing is to get them inside an enclosure to prevent resonance within your vehicle. For this particular part, you should hire expert hands to build you speaker enclosures that would suit the interior of your Jeep Wrangler.

Most often than not, car audio professionals would recommend dual speaker enclosures that house both the subwoofer and the amp. Enclosures are very ideal for Jeep Wranglers. Not only do they increase the sound of your stereo, they also optimize the space available inside the vehicle.

Speakers boxes integrated inside your Wrangler will cost you. But if you really love the Great Outdoors and loud music, then the speakers are going to be a worthwhile investment. After all, it is really nice to hear a great song blasting from the background while you conquer rocky slopes and vast sand dunes.
