The Exciting World of Blast Works: Build, Trade and Destroy

By Crystal Jennings

Be prepared for a geometric battle that will surely give you a wonderful gaming experience through Blast Works: Build, Trade and Destroy. In playing this shooter game, you are certainly guaranteed to have fun and to enjoy. The remnants of opponents ships that you were able to destroy will form part of your ship, making your plane bigger and stronger. The look and appearance of your ship can be customized to fit what you want. You can use the level and ship editors to make this customization possible. Ships can also be traded with your friends.

This video game, inspired by the Tumiki Fighters online game, strikes a perfect combination of attractive abstract graphics and action with fast pace. Your massive ship can take you to 15 different missions. The game level and the ship designs are not the only features you can modify to suit your interest. You can even choose the enemy ships and bosses you will be encountering. The BlastWorks editor can be used for this feature. Assignment of bullet patterns, sound effects, movement patterns and hit boxes are also possible through the BlastWorks editor.

Sharing is not only limited to custom ships and levels but also with user-generated content with other players from all over the world. More Kenta Cho games such as Tumiki Fighters, Gunroar, Torus Trooper, and rRootage can also be unlocked once you have already completed the game.

The video game puts greater emphasis on creating extremely varied missions rather than the included missions. You can turn your imagination into reality with just an application of simple geometry. Creating objects is not the sole scope of the customization feature. How the ship flies and even how the bullets spread out can also be enhanced through the customization feature.

You will also see some of the Web 2.0 features you may have used from social sites such as YouTube. These features that are available in Blast Works: Build, Trade and Destroy include lists of friends, ratings per item, ratings per user, messaging, and others. Download queue can also be used. Of course, the bragging rights also come with the package.
